Annual Meeting Poster Sessions

The Northern New York Library Network invites member library participation in poster sessions at its 43rd Annual Meeting to be held at Bonnie Castle on May 22, 2008 in Alexandria Bay.

Poster sessions are informal presentations that may consist of an actual poster which tells the story of a project; a collection of objects related to a project; or a computer presentation. Presenters may lead their sessions, or the presentation could consist of materials left for independent perusal. However one chooses to participate, poster sessions can be an excellent way for staff of member libraries to inform others about their libraries’ activities and services.

Presentation space will be made available from the beginning of the Annual Meeting at 9:00 a.m.; additional time for presentations led by staff will be available during the break in morning sessions.

Libraries are invited to develop presentations that will tell others how a project was done, what results were received, or how a service was improved.

Libraries that would like to present at the Annual Meeting should contact the Network by April 17, 2008. Call or e-mail Bridget Doyle at 315-265-1119 or 1-877-833-1674; doyle@nnyln.org

Posters Sessions were part of the Network’s 40th Annual Meeting. Mary Beth Bell, SUNY Oswego’s Penfield Library Director, views one of the displays.
