Obituary

Ottilie H. Rollins, 91, died at her home in Potsdam on Sept. 14, 2007.

Mrs. Rollins retired in 1982 as head librarian of Clarkson University, a position she held since 1967.

Mrs. Rollins was a founding member of the North Country Reference and Research Resources Council, and served on the Board as president and as treasurer for many years. She was also the first female department administrator in Clarkson's history.

In May, 1985, during the Council's 20th anniversary meeting, without any time for preparation, she filled in for the absent invited speaker with an hour-long talk about the Council's history and value to libraries.

Class Gets Attendees Talking

	"Creating a Vision for Library Space Planning" was held this summer at the NNYLN in Potsdam. Instructor Scott Bennett, Yale University Library Emeritus had the class break into small groups as part of the day-long program.
