• Susan J. Charley retired from the North Country Library System as Associate Director, Consultant & Outreach Coordinator on July 20, 2007. She had been with NCLS for over 30 years.

• Joan Pellikka has joined the North Country Library System as a Consultant. Joan previously worked at Samaritan Medical Center as a Circuit Librarian.

• Betsy Meldrin has joined Samaritan Medical Center as a Circuit Librarian.

• Kathy Gregoire has joined SUNY Plattsburgh’s Feinberg Library as a Library Clerk II.

CE Needs Assessment Survey

The Northern New York Library Network will be using an online survey to assess the continuing education needs of its member libraries and to plan ways to address those needs.

In order to gather the needed information, the Network will be sending a survey via email to all staff of its member libraries after the Labor Day holiday.

The survey will give library staff an opportunity to comment on what topics and subjects would be of interest to them, and help the Network decide what the continuing education calendar might look like for the coming year.

The Network is asking its members to take a few minutes to complete the emailed survey - there will be a drawing for a small prize from those who respond.
