Membership Directory

Northern New York Library Network member institutions will be receiving a notice this month about the 2007-08 Membership Directory.

Directors are being asked to review the material enclosed in the mailing and update any information and return it to the Network.

The Directory is expected to go to the printers in May with distribution in June. The online version, found at www.nnyln.org/memberlib.php will be updated as well.

Automation Committee

The terms of two members of the Regional Automation Committee will expire on June 30, 2007. These seats are currently held by Jennifer Henry of CEWW BOCES SLS, and John Thomas of SUNY Oswego.

The Regional Automation Committee is responsible for developing recommendations for the annual plan for regional automation activities. Smaller subsets of this committee are occasionally formed for special purposes.

The Board of Trustees appoints members of this committee for a three-year term. If you would like to serve on this committee, or would like to nominate someone you feel would be an asset, please send the name(s) to the Northern New York Library Network; fax: 315-265-1881, or email: Bridget Doyle.

Job Openings

The following is a list of job openings available in the NNYLN’s seven-county region:

• SUNY Oswego’s Penfield Library has openings for two positions: a Coordinator of Collection Development, and a Coordinator of Access Services.

• AuSable Valley Central School is seeking a full-time Library Media Specialist.

• Clinton Community College has an opening for a part-time Librarian.
