Mark Your Calendar ...

Monday, March 5 - "Photoshop Elements: Photoshop Lite" will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Network in Potsdam. The fee is $15 for library staff, and $59.95 for all others. Lunch is included. This class will be repeated on April 9 at the Network.

Thursday, March 8 - The Winter Webinar: "The What, Why and How of Wikis" will be broadcast on participants’ computers from 2:15-3:45 p.m. There is no fee, but registration is required.

Tuesday, March 13 - Library Legislative Day in Albany. (See the story on page 1 for complete details.)

Tuesday, April 3 - "Desktop Publishing: Microsoft Publisher" will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the Network in Potsdam. The fee is $15 for library staff, and $59.95 for all others. Lunch is included.

Thursday, April 5 - There will be a meeting of the NNYLN Board of Trustees at 10:00 a.m. at the Network office in Potsdam.

Friday, April 6 - The Network office will be closed in observance of Good Friday.

People In The News

  • Tammy Mason has left the Northern New York Library Network, and has moved on to Crumb Memorial Library at SUNY Potsdam. Ms. Mason was the Network’s Office Assistant for three years, and the entire staff wishes her the very best in her new endeavors.
  • Carly Durland has been hired as the Network’s new Office Assistant. She is a graduate of SUNY Potsdam, and has much experience through her time spent with the Community Performance Series. The Network staff welcomes her!

  • SueAnn Cotter was recently hired as the Administrative Assistant at Clinton- Essex-Franklin Library System in Plattsburgh.

  • Alan Hutchinson was recently hired as the new Business Manager at the Antique Boat Museum in Clayton.

  • Jessica Belile was recently hired as a Library Clerk II at SUNY Canton’s Southworth Library.
