Karen Ricketson Is Awarded

Karen Ricketson of Plattsburgh Public Library has been chosen as the 2006 recipient of the New York State Library Assistants Association Craig Koste Award for Outstanding Service.

The award recognizes those library assistants who have distinguished themselves by their service to the organization and to the library assistants of New York State on either a state or local level.

Library Temporarily Closed

The Canton Free Library will be closed to the public beginning May 29, 2006, and continuing through the month of June. They are under-going a construction project, and work on the main floor has begun.

	The caption that appeared with this photo, which appeared in the May issue of Points North, mistakenly misspelled the Academic Dean's name at Jefferson Community College.
