Dewey Library Celebrates National Library Week

Jefferson Community College’s Melvil Dewey Library hosted an array of events throughout National Library Week, which was celebrated April 2-8, 2006.

The library’s festivities included a Scrabble Tournament; Reading and Singing to Day Care; Media Center Open House reception for Jennifer Donnelly, author of "A Northern Light;" showcase of an Art Club student mural; Open Mike & Café; Library Party, featuring food and classic rock & roll performed by library staff and student workers; as well as electronic quizzes and prizes.

All monies for prizes, marketing, and refreshments were donated by JCC’s Social Cultural Committee.
