Has The Library Changed Your Life?

The American Library Association is teaming up with Woman’s Day magazine to get the public involved in an interesting essay contest. Area libraries are encouraged to spread the word about this event and ask their patrons to get take part in it.

Woman’s Day wants to know "How Has the Library Changed Your Life?" They are accepting essays of 700 words or less until May 10, 2006.

Up to four winners and their essays will be featured in an upcoming issue of Woman’s Day. Who knows - maybe a story by a patron from one of the libraries in the NNYLN’s seven-county region will be featured!

Entries need to include the author’s name, age, address, day-time phone number, and e-mail address. Submissions should be sent via e-mail to womansday@ala.org.

For official rules and a complete description of the contest, go to the Woman’s Day website at www.womansday.com, click on "Giveaways," and scroll down to this contest.
