A Day Of Learning In The Class & The Cemetery

CR Jones took participants step-by-step through the process of righting a headstone that had "fallen" over
the many years.

The first step was staking off a straight line
for the stone to be in alignment with.

Dirt was then dug out from behind the stone.

With a little assistance, CR Jones pulled
the stone from the earth.

CR Jones points out 40 percent of the stone
is underground.

After setting the stone on bricks, CR Jones
makes sure the stone is level.

CR Jones begins to shovel the earth back around
the set stone.

Participants assist CR Jones in dumping the
earth back around the stone.

The final stage is to water the earth that
has been packed around the up-righted stone.
