Continuous Assessment Workshops

In 2003, the NY3Rs Association supported a state-wide project to implement the LibQUAL+ survey process for over 70 libraries. In 2004, it continued this effort with a series of Continuous Assessment, Continuous Improvement workshops, and in 2005-2006, they are pleased to hold another series of this very successful program.

What is continuous assessment or continuous improvement? In these workshops, participants will learn to identify key processes and services and then identify essential success factors, methods, and outcomes for assessing their improvement and impact. They will learn to understand how rapid cycle improvements can establish a culture of continuous improvement in libraries. They will also learn, through practice, how simple tools for assessment and decision-making can improve services.

Who should attend these workshops?

  • Any library preparing for Middle States Accreditation.
  • Libraries that wish to encourage staff to incorporate assessment and improvement tools into daily work.
  • Libraries that wish to develop a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Libraries that wish to demonstrate their impact and value to funding agencies.
  • Libraries of all kinds are eligible to participate.
