Continuous Assessment And Improvement Workshops

The NY 3Rs Association is very pleased to announce that, pending a final contract with New York State, there will be a repeat of the very successful series of workshop on Continuous Assessment and Continuous Improvement for libraries. In 2004, 120 people from over 50 libraries participated in the series and information. Results of the workshops can be found at www.ny3rs.org/CIfront.html

Taking a leaf from what was learned in 2004, the series for 2005-2006 has been changed - it will be shortened to seven workshops and some of the content modified. The workshop series will again be held in three locations in the state: Genesee Community College, Batavia; Capital District Library Council, Albany; Andrew Heiskell Braille and Talking Book Library, Manhattan.

Despite some of the bureaucratic processes still to be completed (the state contract as noted above being one of them), the schedule and locations of the series has been determined so those wishing to attend this series can plan the dates.

Genesee Community College, Batavia - June 20-21, 2005; September 13-14, 2005; December 6-7, 2005; January 13, 2006

CDLC, Albany - June 14-15, 2005; September 8-9, 2005; December 8-9, 2005; January 12, 2006

Heiskell Library, Manhattan - June 16-17, 2005; September 6-7, 2005; December 12-13, 2005; January 11, 2006

More information about these workshops will be forthcoming.
