The Upstate New York and Ontario Chapter (UNYOC) of the Medical Library Association presented Samaritan Director of Library Services Jeff Garvey with the sixth annual Katy Nesbit Service Recognition Award. The presentation was made at the Chapter’s annual meeting recently held in Ottawa, Ontario.

The award was given for exemplary service to the Chapter. Mr. Garvey has served as the Chapter’s Government Relations Committee Chair, Program Planning Committee Chair, and the organization’s Chair.

Clinton Co. Index Created

The Benjamin Feinberg Library at SUNY Plattsburgh recently announced a local Plattsburgh historian completed a subject index to the Clinton County portion of the History of Clinton and Franklin Counties, New York. The publication was written in 1880 by Duane Hamilton Hurd.

The compiler, Phyllis L. Wells, has generously donated the copyright for this index to the Feinberg Library’s Special Collections.
