New Century Libraries Meeting

(Continued from page 1.)

New Century Libraries is a proposal from the Board of Regents that would provide $107 million in new state aid to New York’s libraries. If passed by the Legislature and Governor, it will mean substantial service improvements for users of all types of libraries across the state.

The meeting will be held in Barben A & B at the Cheel Center on Clarkson’s campus.

John Thomas joined Jefferson Community College’s Melvil Dewey Library as Assistant Librarian/Information Literacy Coordinator, on Aug 9, 2004. Mr. Thomas comes from SUNY Oswego, where he served as Senior Assistant Librarian/Webmaster.
