Excellence AwardWouldn’t you like to see that library staff member receive recognition for all the work he/she does on a daily basis? You know, that person who always goes a little above and beyond, or always makes patrons and fellow co-workers feel like someone special? Here is the opportunity to do just that. It is not too early to be thinking about who you would like to nominate to be recognized as the recipient of the Network’s 14th Annual Award for Excellence in Library Service. You may nominate any staff member of any library for this award. To nominate someone, simply write a confidential letter describing how your nominee’s activities have contributed to excellence in library service, and send the letter to: Excellence Award, Northern New York Library Network, 6721 U.S. Highway 11. Potsdam, NY 13676. |
What Skill Level Is A Class? In order to make it clearer for workshop participants to know what skill level Network computer courses are, we are now providing a "Skill Level" statement for these classes on our web site. Courses are being rated as Beginner’s (expecting students to have an understanding of how to use a computer, unless otherwise specified); Intermediate (expecting students to know the basics of the program being taught); and Advanced (expecting students have a full knowledge of the program, but looking to extend that knowledge). We hope this guide will prove helpful in assisting students to enroll in the most suitable classes. |
