Board Member Nominations

The terms of three NNYLN Board of Trustees members will expire on June 30, 2004.

Rod Boula of Alice Hyde Medical Center, Mary Danboise of the Robert Moses State Park Nature Center, and Allison Wheeler of St. Lawrence-Lewis School Library System have provided years of service, and their contributions are appreciated.

This year’s Nominating Committee is soliciting suggestions for nominations for these seats, which are designated from health sciences libraries, school library systems, and the research community.

If you have suggestions for individuals you feel would be good representatives for libraries and good advocates for the library community, please send their names by April 11, 2004 to: Nominating Committee, NNYLN, 6721 US HWY 11, Potsdam, NY 13676.

March 2 - "Microsoft Publisher" will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the Network in Potsdam. The fee is $15.00 for library staff, and $59.95 for all others. Lunch is included.

March 10 - "Microsoft Excel: Power User Techniques" will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Network in Potsdam. The fee is $10.00 for library staff, and $29.95 for all others.

March 10 - "Microsoft Excel: Chart This!" will be held from 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the Network in Potsdam. The fee is $10.00 for library staff, and $29.95 for all others.

March 16 - Library Legislative Day in Albany.

March 25 - "Microsoft Word: Long Document Processing" will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Network in Potsdam. The fee is $10.00 for library staff, and $29.95 for all others.

March 25 - "Microsoft Word: Group Document Processing" will be held from 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the Network in Potsdam. The fee is $10.00 for library staff, and $29.95 for all others.

March 26 - "Redesigning Library Space" will be held from 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at the Network in Potsdam. The fee is $15.00 for library staff. Lunch is included.

Price Break: If you sign up for both sessions of Excel on March 10, or both sessions of Word on March 25, library staff pays only $15.00, and all others pay only $49.95.
