August 5 - Microsoft PowerPoint will be held at the NNYLN in Potsdam from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The fee is $15.00 for library staff, and $59.95 for all others. Lunch is included.

August 6 & 8 - "Internet Access to Historical Records" will be held from 9:45 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. On Aug. 6 it will be held at Clinton Community College in Plattsburgh, and on Aug. 8 at Jefferson Community College in Watertown. There is no fee to attend and lunch is included.

August 20 - Microsoft Access, Level I will be held at the NNYLN in Potsdam from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The fee is $15.00 for library staff, and $59.95 for all others. Lunch is included.

Sept. 1 - The NNYLN office will be closed in observance of Labor Day.

Sept. 5 & 8 - "Publicity for Non-For-Profits" will be held with the morning session, "How to Promote Your Repository," from 9:30 a.m. - noon; and the afternoon session, "Creating Promotional Pieces," will be from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. On Sept. 5 it will be held at the Best Western Inn at Smithfield in Plattsburgh, and on Sept. 8 at the Days Inn in Watertown. There is no fee to attend, and participants are on their own for lunch. (Note: this workshop is directed toward those in the archival field, but is open to librarians as well.)

Sept. 11 - The NNYLN Board of Trustees will meet at 10:00 a.m. at the Network office in Potsdam.

Sept. 12 - "Copyright in the Digital Library" with Peter Hirtle, Cornell University, will be held at the NNYLN in Potsdam from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The fee is $15.00 for library staff. Lunch is included.

Sept. 13 - The DHP Franklin-St. Lawrence Counties Regional Roundtable will be held from 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Wilder Association Farm in Burke. The discussion will be on "Collections Management - Getting What You Want." There is no fee to attend. Lunch is on your own, but you are invited to bring a lunch and eat in the Association's pavilion.

Sept. 18 - The NNYLN Intellectual Freedom conference featuring Judith Krug, American Library Association Office of Intellectual Freedom, will be held at the Network office in Potsdam from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The fee is $15.00 for library staff. Lunch is included.

Sept. 20 - The DHP Clinton-Essex Counties Regional Roundtable will be held from 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Wells Memorial Library in Upper Jay. The discussion will be on "Care and Handling of Historical Records." There is no fee to attend.

Sept. 22 - There will be a meeting of the NNYLN Automation Committee at 10:00 a.m. at the NNYLN office in Potsdam.

Sept. 23 - QuickBooks will be held at the NNYLN in Potsdam from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The fee is $15.00 for library staff, and $59.95 for all others. Lunch is included.

Sept. 26 - An Interlibrary Loan Update will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the NNYLN office in Potsdam. There is no fee to attend, and lunch will be included.

Sept. 27 - The DHP Jefferson-Lewis-Oswego Counties Regional Roundtable will be held from 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield Historic Site. The discussion will be on "The Care and Feeding of Volunteers: Identifying Volunteers, Recruiting, Training, Rights and Responsibilities, and Benefits of Volunteers."
