A Heartfelt Thank You To Our Legislators!

After thoughtful deliberation by our state legislators, Governor George Pataki’s proposed reduction of $13.3 million in state aid to libraries was restored.

Our thanks go out to Senator Jim Wright, Senator Betty Little, Senator Ray Meier, Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava and Assemblyman Darrel Aubertine for standing up for libraries.

The restoration of these funds will allow for the continuation of the outstanding services and programs provided by North Country libraries and library systems.
