• June 3 & 5 - "Archives 201: Appraisal and Selection of Historical Records" will be held June 3 at the Days Inn in Watertown, and on June 5 at Hotel Saranac in Saranac Lake. The event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There is no fee to attend and lunch will be included.
• June 12 - "OCLC ILL Basics Using the Web Interface" will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the NNYLN in Potsdam.
• June 25 - "Paint Shop Pro" will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Network office in Potsdam. The fee is $15 for library staff, and $59.95 for all others. Lunch is included.
• June 26 - "Microsoft FrontPage" will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Network office in Potsdam. The fee is $15 for library staff, $59.95 for all others. Lunch is included.
• July 4 - The NNYLN office will be closed in observance of Independence Day.

MLS Information

The NNYLN recently conducted an MLS Survey, and discovered cost and travel were among the most important factors to those interested in pursuing their degree.

The Network has created a webpage on its website at www.nnyln.org/mls.html where you can view information compiled from the survey, including direct links to several university websites that offer substantial distance learning opportunities for MLS students.
