2003 State Academic Library ConferenceThe NYS Academic Library 2003 Conference Assessment: Measuring Services and Resources in Academic Libraries, 5th Biennial Conference for Academic Libraries, will be held October 2-3, 2003 at the Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel & Conference Center. You are invited to the 5th conference in this series. This year, senior management staff are also invited and this might be an opportunity to bring those involved in information literacy or a LibQUAL assessment project. Here is a heads up on the program and accommodation. The Program: October 2, 3:00 to 5:00 pm - Registration; 5:00 to 7:00 pm - Reception (cash bar); 7:00 to 9:00 pm - Dinner and Speaker. October 3, 7:30 to 8:30 am - Continental Breakfast; 8:30 to 10:00 am - Keynote Speaker on Information Literacy and Accreditation; 10:30 am to noon - Panel discussion on assessing information literacy programs; noon to 1:30 pm - Lunch; 1:30 to 3:30 pm - Panel and group discussion on the follow-up to the use of LibQUAL+ as an assessment tool. Accommodations: Rooms: 30 guest rooms have been guaranteed. Costs are: $102 single, $112 double. Rooms must be reserved by September 5, 2003.
