Excel Courses On The Road!Excel classes are coming to a location near you! Many library staff members have asked if the Network has plans for classes in Microsoft Office applications in locations other than our Potsdam office. This spring, we will accommodate that request by offering Microsoft Excel classes in both beginner and intermediate levels in Watertown and Plattsburgh. Award For ExcellenceThe Northern New York Library Network will continue to accept nominations through April 21 for the 13th Annual Award for Excellence in Library Services. You may nominate any staff member of any library for this award. To nominate someone, simply write a confidential letter describing how your nominee’s activities have contributed to excellence in library service. Letters should be sent to: Excellence Award, Northern New York Library Network, 6721, US HWY 11, Potsdam, NY 13676. The winner of the award will be announced at the Network’s annual meeting on May 22 in Alexandria Bay. | |
Continuing EducationThe Spring/Summer 2003 Continuing Education booklet for the NNYLN was recently mailed out and is now available on the web. The schedule includes classes being held into July. The web version of the schedule will continuously be updated with new courses, or relay important information if a class should ever need to be postponed or cancelled.
