Staffing ChangesIn January 2002, Sarah Matis retired from Plattsburgh Public Library after 29 years of service, and on September 27, 2002 Georgiana Delcore retired after 30 years of service. The director, Anne Minter O'Donnell, left on September 18, 2002 to return to Fayetteville, N.C. for a school library media position with 7th and 8th graders. The Board of Trustees has launched a nationwide search for a new director. On August 19, 2002, Jody Gibbons joined the Plattsburgh Public Library staff as Senior Library Clerk. She took Jaime Parrotte's place, who stepped up into Sarah Matis's position. On Nov. 28, 2002, Director S. Farid-ul Haq will be retiring from the Southworth Library at SUNY Canton. He has been with the library for 22 years. |
