NCLS & Libraries Receive Funds

The North Country Library System was recently informed by Sen. James Wright that a $200,000 special legislative appropriation has been secured to help improve public library services.

The monies will allow for the purchase of two new delivery vans for the NCLS, a total of $62,000, with the remainder of the funds going to the individual libraries within its system.

Funds are being allocated in amounts of $3,000 to NCLS member libraries within Jefferson, St. Lawrence and Oswego counties.

New WALDO Databases

WALDO recently announced the availability of several new databases:

  • Gale Literature
  • Newsbank Newspaper For New York State
  • Maps101 Plus
  • Morningstar
  • Grey House Online
  • Environmental Knowledgebase
  • EBSCO Smartlink Databases and Academic Search Elite Update

Taking Part In A Computer Workshop At The NNYLN

The workshop "PC Troubleshooting: Protecting Your Public Access PC" was held at the NNYLN on June 5, 2002.
