Regional Automation CommitteeOur thanks to Yvonne Reff, North Country Library System; Andrew Hirsh-Tudor, Clinton Community College; Tracey LaBarge, Clinton Essex Franklin Library System; and Anne Mintner O’Donnell, Plattsburgh Public Library for their service over the past three years on the Regional Automation Committee. The Network is a member driven organization, and the active participation of the staff of member libraries is crucial to our success. We appreciate the time and work contributed by these people. Seminar For Instructional Librarians To Be Held"Teaching & Learning for Instructional Librarians" will be held August 8 & 9th, 2002 at the SUNY Training Center, Syracuse. The seminar is open to both SUNY and non-SUNY librarians. You may register on-line only at: www.tc.suny.edu, and click on "Register for Academic Programs." This seminar is for instructional librarians who are interested in combining their expertise in library science with research-based learning theory and methods of instruction toward more effective library information/skills instruction. It includes a classroom component and a practice component. This workshop on teaching and learning is best suited for librarians with little to no teaching experience, as well as librarians who would like to fine-tune or re-focus their BI efforts. The workshop will be instructed by Jeff Liles, Ph.D., SUNY Geneseo, and Library Instruction Coordinator Kim Davies, SUNY Geneseo, Reference Librarian.
