ICEPAC Fall 2001 Release

ICEPAC, the region’s web catalog of integrated library holdings was updated in October, 2001.

ICEPAC provides a one-stop method of searching the library holdings of more than 300 libraries of all kinds throughout the seven county region served by the Northern New York Library Network.

The most recent update contained 3,182,629 records and 4,825,636 holdings. Library collections included in ICEPAC cover academic, public, school and public libraries.

It is accessible on the web at www.icepac.net

Volunteers Needed

The Northern New York Library Network is seeking volunteers to serve on its Continuing Education Committee.

This committee usually meets once per year, and is charged with planning the Network’s continuing education schedule. The committee makes recommendations concerning workshop topics and speakers, and assists the Network in gathering information for planning.

The Committee also makes recommendations concerning the guidelines for the Network’s Professional Development Program and assists with other projects as may be necessary.

Dates To Remember...

December 6, 2001 - The NNYLN Board of Trustees will meet at the Network office.

December 24 and 25, 2001 - The NNYLN office will be closed in observance of the Christmas holiday.

January 1, 2002 - The NNYLN office will be closed in observance of New Year’s Day.

The Network staff wishes everyone a happy, healthy and safe holiday season.
