Regional Automation Committee OpportunitiesThe terms of four members of the Regional Automation Committee will expire on June 30, 2001. This creates an opportunity for librarians in the area to become involved with regional automation activities. Terms on the committee are for a period of three years. The committee is charged with preparing a recommendation for the Council’s Board of Trustees, which outlines the region’s Regional Bibliographic Database Program budget and annual plan. Committee members may also be asked to serve on a task force or other ad hoc groups, as needed. The committee may also be asked to assist in preparing recommendations for LSTA (Library Services and Technology) program projects. If you would like to serve on this committee, or would like to propose someone else’s name, please send your suggestions to Bridget Doyle at doyle@northnet.org EmpireLink: EBSCO TrainingThe New York State Library has announced the addition of an EBSCO database package through its EmpireLink project.
