Fall-Winter Continuing Education Catalog Is Prepared The up-coming line-up of classes being hosted by the NNY Library Network includes many new programs, as well as the return of several popular favorites. The schedule includes an entire array of Office 2007 classes ranging from beginners’ Access and Publisher, to intermediate Excel and Word; a series on Lessons for Scanning; as well as Internet Access to Historical Records, Interlibrary Loan Field Day, Care and Repair of Books, Installing and Using Firefox Extensions, and much more. Mark Your Calendar ... Monday, Sept. 1 - The NNY Library Network office will be closed in observance of Labor Day. Thursday, Sept. 11 - There will be a meeting of the NNY Library Network Board of Directors at 10:00 a.m. at the Network office in Potsdam. Friday, Sept. 12 - Fall Technology Seminar: "Web Trends: Five Trajectories" will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the NNYLN in Potsdam. The cost is $15.00 for library staff, free to Blue Line library staff, and $59.95 for all others. Tuesday, Sept. 16 - "Microsoft Word: Office 2007" will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the NNYLN in Potsdam. The cost is $15.00 for library staff, free to Blue Line library staff, and $59.95 for all others. Wednesday, Sept. 17 - A meeting of the NNYLN’s Automation Committee will take place at 10:30 a.m. at the Network office. Thursday, Sept. 18, & Friday, Sept. 19 - "Introduction to Grant Writing" will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 18 at the North Country Library System in Watertown, and on Sept. 19 at the Clinton-Essex-Franklin Library System in Plattsburgh. The cost is $10.00 for library staff, free to Blue Line library staff, and $29.95 for all others. Tuesday, Sept. 23 - "Microsoft Excel, Beginning Level: Office 2007" will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the NNYLN in Potsdam.
