Opportunities To Attend Free NNYLN Classes

The Northern New York Library Network recently received special grant funding that now permits certain library staff to attend Network classes at no charge.

This special funding is courtesy of the Lake Placid Education Foundation, which has a long and wonderful history of supporting library education. In this particular instance, all paid library staff of libraries situated within the Blue Line are now eligible to attend all NNYLN professional development classes at no charge.

Blue Line libraries are encouraged to check the Network’s website regularly to see what classes are being offered. For an online look at classes, go to www.nnyln.org and click on "Training and Classes."

Blue Line libraries are also encouraged to have their email addresses added to the Network’s online class announcement service if they are not already receiving NNYLN email class announcements. To begin receiving online announcements, send an email to doyle@nnyln.org with the subject line "Blue Line Library."

When registering for a class, simply be sure to check "Blue Line Library" to avoid being charged. There is no limit on the number of classes that may be attended.

Questions concerning eligibility or procedures for attending free classes should be addressed to: Regional Service Coordinator Bridget Doyle at 315-265-1119, 1-877-833-1674, or email: doyle@nnyln.org.
