The Council Celebrates Its 35th Anniversary

The North Country Reference and Research Resources Council was chartered by the Regents in 1965, making the Council 35 this year.

In honor of this milestone celebration, the Council determined this would be the perfect time to update the organization's logo and colors.

With the publication of this issue of Points North, the utilization of our new logo and colors officially begins!

It was felt that the new logo, three pine trees, reflects the concepts and ideals of the Council.

The three trees appropriately convey the three Rs - Reference, Research and Resources. The image of the different sized trees also reflects stability and endurance, yet also growth and vitality.

The color green was chosen as the new color for the Council, which obviously coincides wonderfully with the tree theme.

This year's annual meeting is being held on May 25 in Lake Placid. This will give us the perfect opportunity to continue with our 35th anniversary celebration.

Everyone in attendance will receive a commemorative green anniversary mug with the Council's name and new logo printed on it.

If you haven't registered for the Annual Meeting yet, please contact the Council office by May 22.
