Join library staff, trustees and supporters from across New York State on March 14, 2000 as we tell our elected officials how vital libraries are to each community they represent.

Where: Empire State Plaza Convention Center, meeting rooms 2-4, Concourse Level

When: Tuesday, March 14, 2000, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Details/Directions: Lobby Day briefings will be held in the Empire State Plaza Convention Center in meeting rooms 2-4, located on the Concourse Level. This is located below the Egg in downtown Albany.

To get to the Empire State Plaza Convention Center use the following directions:
Take I 90 into Albany (either East or West depending on where you are traveling from) to I 787 South.
Take I 787 to the Empire State Plaza exit. This will take you under the Plaza. Parking is available here. Follow signs for North Visitor's Parking Area. Elevators will take you to the Concourse Level where the Convention Center is located. Parking is also available at the Pepsi Arena on a first come-first served basis. Once in the Concourse, follow signs for meeting rooms 2-4.

There will also be a NYLA Pre-Advocacy Day Dinner on Monday, March 13, 2000.

Where: Jack's Oyster House, 42 State Street, Albany, NY

When: Monday, March 13, 2000 Cocktail hour, cash bar, begins at 5:00 p.m. Dinner begins at 6:00 p.m.

The March 13th Pre-Library Advocacy Day reception and dinner is a time for members of the library community to gather and share information about libraries and library legislation, and to ready themselves for the day ahead.
