Archvial Conference - The North Country Archival Conference is directed toward those who work in special collections, archives, and historical repositories. The NNYLN hopes the range of speakers and subjects that are scheduled will provide attendees with an opportunity to hone their existing skills, learn new skills, and network with old and new friends.

March News: The proposed 2010-2011 state budget is calling for a $2.4 million reduction in aid to libraries. This would cap a devastating slash of 18 percent over the past two years.

A look at March 9, 1989 - "Places like New York City have nothing on Helena when it comes to St. Patrick's Day. Both places have a large Irish population. In fact, Helena is part of the Town of Brasher - the town known far and wide as home to many leprechaun. And yes, Helena does paint a green stripe down the middle of Main Street just like the Big Apple. The one difference may be that the line in Helena isn't very straight."
