The St. Lawrence-Franklin Roundtable will be held from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on May 19, 2007 at the Heuvelton Town Hall. The topic will be "Disaster Planning" and will be lead by Jane Subramanian, SUNY Potsdam Archivist and Librarian. It seems that disaster, both big and small, eventually happen to all of us. A leaky pipe, a flooded basement, or a raging fire can just be waiting to happen. And while nobody enjoys disasters, there are things that can be done to prepare for them and minimize their impact. This Roundtable will focus on how to prepare and plan for disasters, as well as war stories of past disasters and their aftermath. Participants are asked to bring questions and concerns, as well as their experiences with disasters, to share with the group. There is no fee to attend, but registration is requested. To sign up, contact the NNYLN; for more information, contact St. Lawrence County Historical Association Director Trent Trulock at 315-386-8133.
