Annual Conference The Council’s Documentary Heritage Program Annual Conference will be held June 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Best Western in Canton. The meeting will feature a presentation in the morning on Fugitive Documents . Following lunch, a panel discussion will continue exploration of this topic.

Award Winning Site The Rediscovering New York History and Culture section of the NYS Archives website (www.archives.nysed.gov) has been selected as an Ancestry Family History Favorite Award recipient by Ancestry.com. Rediscovering New York History and Culture provides visitors with a comprehensive electronic directory of historical resources.

Room Relocated The public research facility of the New York State Archives on the 11th floor of the Cultural Education Center (CEC), Empire State Plaza has moved to its new location on the 3rd floor of the CED. Hours of operation will continue to be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday (except for state holidays).
