DHP Grant Application Information Is AvailableThe Documentary Heritage Program grant provisions have been significantly enhanced for the 2004-2005 cycle. This has occurred due to the infusion of National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC) funds. This will permit more awards for the 2004-2005 cycle. Those interested in the program are encouraged to contact Gloria Bartowski at 518-474-6926 to determine project feasibility prior to working on an application. Ms. Bartowski is a DHP resource person connected with the application process. Criteria and application guidelines are now accessible on August 15, 2003 through the State Archive’s website at www.archives.nysed.gov. Click on "Grants and Awards," then on "Documentary Heritage Program" and the information may be found under "Application Materials," "grant application guidelines and forms 2004-05." You may view the complete form in PDF and print it out in its entirety, or you may order a print copy through the Archival site at no cost. If you do not have Internet access, you may also receive the application and guidelines by sending your name, repository name, address and phone number, along with a request for form OTR26 (DHP application and materials), to: Documentary Heritage Program, State Archives, Room 9C71, CEC, Albany, NY 12230. You may also contact the DHP Central Office directly at 518-474-6926, or contact Pam Ouimet at the NNYLN at 877-833-1674 for a copy of the application and guidelines. The annual application deadline has been moved permanently to December 1. | |
